Jeste li znali da je francuski putopisac još 1658. godine doživio ritual ispijanja bosanske kahve?
Prije svega, francuski putnik A. Poulet napisao je da je Stari most u Mostaru “hrabriji i impresivniji od mosta Rialto u Veneciji”.
Iste godine (1658.) piše o svom prvom susretu s posebnim načinom ispijanja kahve u kafeima u Bosni i Hercegovini.
Rekao je: ”Sjedaju da im se posluži kahva, koja je napravljena od savršeno prženih i mljevenih zrna iz Egipta. Ljepota ovog rituala je u ispijanju kahve iz malih porculanskih šalica (fildžana) toliko vrućih da ih je teško držati mirno u rukama. Istinsko zadovoljstvo dolazi od gledanja oko sebe i gledanja osmijeha od uha do uha dok svi pijuckaju kahvu do posljednje kapi.’

Did you know that a French traveler experienced the Bosnian coffee drinking ritual back in 1658?
First of all, the French traveler, A. Poulet, wrote that the Old Bridge in Mostar is “more courageous and more impressive than the Rialto Bridge in Venice”.
The same year (1658) he wrote about his first encounter with the special way of drinking coffee in cafés in Bosnia.
He stated: ‘They sit down to be served coffee, which is made from perfectly roasted and milled beans from Egypt. The beauty of this ritual lies in drinking the coffee from small porcelain cups (fildžan) so hot that it’s difficult to hold it steady in the hands. The true satisfaction comes from looking around and seeing grins from ear to ear while everyone sips their coffee till the last drop.’
